A quick glimpse of who we are, Pauline and Pauline, and why on earth are we flying there for!

        Pauline VEILLET

Swiss and french but english speaker (with a pinch of german), horse rider since the age of 4...

My nick name is "opopop" due to my jumping temper, but this is an other story..

Definitely curious, over active and open minded, so much that my head is often lost in the clouds!!! Ok ok I have a very short term memory, I admit...

Horses are my thing and my work as well as montains! When the snow covers the horse trails, then I ride my snowboard!

And you, Pauline, who are you ?

    Pauline ANTONIN

French and adopted by the amazing culture of Bruxelles in Belgium, started visiting the world at the age of 2...

Atfer a good few trips in Africa with my familly, I did my first major trip by myslef in Mongolia.

There I discovered the joy of taking sounds, and ended up making a report about my trip, which was widelly enjoyed by radios, mainly with the support of Arte Radio, an online radio linked to the TV chanel Arte. So, I pursue radio as I'm fond of making sound reports... So I bring my microphone for the trip, so that you will be able to follow us earing us...

And who am I in my deep nature ? Appreciating being solitary, but sociable person loving people and life, especially Pauline. I was told my laugh can break ears, and Pauline is someone who is often getting me to break ears !!! The most difficult physical thing in the trip will be to have enough strong abdominal muscles to survive of Pauline's amusing way of living and thinking. Can't wait to start the adventure to make a big stock of laugh !!

        The project

We know each other since college, 2 Paulines, always chatty, always motivated for.. basicly everything involving fun and laugh and political debates !

We were joking about doing a trip together, and after college, having different desires, one went to Ireland to work with horses (guess wich one) and the other one went to Mongolia, where she went horse ridding and where she did her first radio report about the country. Then years flew by and we kept in contact, kepping the idea of travelling together at the back of our head...

2 very active persons with very busy lives !

One day of the spring 2011, I got a call, from my old friend..

"-I'd like to travel on horse back, are joining in??

- Ha ben yes ! And I like to travel in south america, but can't speak spanish, are you joining in?

- Ha ben yes!"

So we decided with a big laugh to cross South America on horse back, especially at the time when the world is supopsed to end (remember 12 12 12)...

And months later we looked at maps with squales...

"- Kind of big area.. Don't think we can cross it in only 6 months...

- Let's find a country big enought, with various landscapes and a good horse culture to keep us busy.."

That's how we decided to go for the next 6 months or so, on a horse back, in Argentina.

To make this long story short, it all started as a joke in college!!
